Winchester Ammunition recently introduced their new American Lever Range ammunition, a series of centerfire cartridges developed for use in lever-action rifles.

The line uses bullet profiles intended to promote reliable feeding and cycling in lever guns. Winchester said modern propellants are used to reduce fouling in barrels and actions, while uniform powder charges and precision-built bullets are designed to provide consistent performance.

The American Lever Range lineup will include five initial offerings:

  • .30-30 Winchester load, catalog number W3030AL, carries a 150-grain open-tip bullet and is packaged in 20-round boxes with an MSRP of $21.99.
  • .357 Magnum option, W357AL, features a 158-grain jacketed soft-point bullet and comes in 50-round boxes priced at $28.99.
  • .44 Remington Magnum load, W44MAL, uses a 240-grain jacketed soft-point bullet and is sold in 50-round boxes with an MSRP of $40.99.
  • .45 Colt, the W45LCAL load fires a 250-grain lead bullet and is offered in 50-round boxes priced at $49.99.
  • .45-70 Government, a load designated W4570AL, includes a 300-grain jacketed hollow-point bullet and comes in 20-round boxes with an MSRP of $49.99.

Winchester said the new American Lever Range ammunition is available through dealers nationwide and online. Additional information is available at winchester.com.
