Princeton Tec’s Ghost X tactical headlamp delivers up to 300 lumens of white light and also includes red, green and blue LEDs for low signature tasks. An infrared mode produces 940 nanometer output with adjustable power levels ranging from 70 to 320 milliwatts.
Princeton Tec said the headlamp uses a programmable interface that allows users to customize the order of colored LEDs and adjust brightness levels. A mechanical Ghost Mode switch blocks all visible light and limits operation to infrared high, infrared low or infrared strobe. The same switch can shut off all illumination to prevent accidental activation.
The light weighs 82 grams and carries an IP68 waterproof rating. Power is supplied by either one CR123 lithium battery or a single AA battery.
Ghost X is available as a standalone headlamp and in an MPLS configuration that includes mounting hardware for helmets, night vision devices and MOLLE compatible gear. Color options include Multicam, Tan, Black and OD Green. Listed specifications include up to 29 hours of runtime and infrared output adjustable to 320 milliwatts radiometric power. The Ghost X retails for $70 for the standalone version and $100 for the MPLS model. Additional information is available at princetontec.com.
