Chiappa’s Limited Edition Rhino Elite 60DS L Frame Revolver

Chiappa Firearms announced the release of the Rhino Elite 60DS L Frame, a limited production revolver based on the company’s Rhino platform. Only 44 individually numbered examples will be produced worldwide. It was one of the more unique and interesting guns on display at this year’s SHOT Show.

The revolver is chambered in .44 Remington Magnum and features a 6-inch barrel along with Chiappa’s low-bore axis design that fires from the bottom chamber of the cylinder to reduce muzzle rise. It uses a double- and single-action trigger system and is equipped with Cerakoted aluminum grips and fiber-optic front and rear sights. Safety features include a cylinder block, cylinder rotation lock and hammer block.

Each revolver will carry a unique exterior finish with hand applied graphics and will be shipped with a custom aluminum display case lined with Italian leather. Additional items include a signed certificate of authenticity, a display base and a Rhino 44 patch.

A single action version compliant with California regulations will also be offered under the designation Rhino Elite 60 SAR L Frame.

The Rhino Elite 60DS L Frame is made in Italy and has an aluminum 7075 T6 frame with a steel barrel and breech shield. Overall length is listed at 11 inches with a weight of 2.92 pounds and a six round cylinder capacity. The suggested retail price is $5,775, but with only 44 available, what do you expect?
