Thompson/Center Arms has announced the return of one of its most popular muzzleloaders, the Triumph. The re-engineered rifle blends the company’s long-standing reputation for reliability and accuracy with updated materials and design improvements aimed at making the gun easier to use and maintain.
The new Triumph features a fully nitride-treated barrel for enhanced corrosion resistance and smoother loading, along with a Cerakote-coated toggle-lock action and Speed Breech XT breech plug. A LimbSaver recoil pad helps manage felt recoil, while a redesigned trigger guard locking system makes it easier to access the breech plug for cleaning or loading. The design also improves the gas seal around the primer, which should translate into more consistent ignition.
With just four moving parts, the Triumph is built for durability and simple operation, a hallmark of T/C’s muzzleloaders since the company first entered the blackpowder market decades ago.
The rifle will be available in two finishes and stock configurations suited for a variety of hunting environments, from dense whitetail timber to open western plains. It joins the Encore Pro Hunter in the company’s lineup of American-made firearms.
According to Thompson/Center President and CEO Gregg Ritz, the Triumph’s relaunch was driven by demand from hunters who have long trusted the platform. The rifle is now shipping to distributors and dealers nationwide.
