Waterfowl hunters know all too well—when you’re chasing ducks and geese, your shotgun isn’t just a tool, it’s the tool. And nothing will sour a hunt faster than watching it slip into the drink. Avian-X, a trusted name in hyper-realistic decoys and waterfowl gear, has stepped deeper into soft goods this season with the launch of its first floating gun cases for shotguns.
The new Deluxe and Standard Floating Gun Cases are built around DUK-TEK construction, a rugged, weather-resistant fabric that shrugs off mud and moisture. Inside, 15mm of closed-cell foam gives the cases buoyancy, so even if your gun slips in the water, you won’t have to go diving after it.
The Deluxe Floating Gun Case (pictured above) measures 53 inches to fit most popular waterfowl shotguns and comes with a removable shoulder strap, heavy-duty handle and a roomy external pocket for shells and small gear. Brass hardware and canvas accents give it a classic field look. The Standard Floating Gun Case takes a more straightforward approach, but still includes a shoulder strap, carry handle, accessory pocket and adds an EVA-molded muzzle cover and laminated polyester lining for extra protection.

Both cases are built to handle the kind of abuse that comes with duck season, whether you’re slogging through flooded timber or hauling decoys along a riverbank.
