Two well-known outdoor brands—TrueTimber and Banded have teamed up with Darby’s Warrior Support, an Arkansas-based nonprofit that helps post-9/11 Special Operations veterans heal through hunting and fishing experiences.
Founded to honor William Orlando Darby, the legendary Arkansan who organized the U.S. Army’s First Ranger Battalion in World War II, Darby’s Warrior Support provides all-inclusive outdoor adventures for physically and emotionally injured combat veterans. The trips give participants the chance to reconnect with nature, find peace and rebuild the sense of brotherhood they knew in uniform—all at no cost to them.
Through the new partnership, TrueTimber and Banded will outfit Darby’s Warrior Support participants with high-performance Banded apparel and gear in TrueTimber camouflage, ensuring that each veteran has top-tier equipment for their time afield.
“TrueTimber is honored to partner with Darby’s Warrior Support alongside Banded,” said TrueTimber CEO Rusty Sellars. “It’s a privilege to see our camouflage patterns used to help veterans spend meaningful time in the field. We share their belief in the power of the outdoors, and we’re excited to play a part in helping veterans experience it to the fullest.”
The organizations share a common mission—to harness the healing power of the outdoors. With industry partners providing the gear and Darby’s Warrior Support providing the opportunity, veterans get the chance to once again feel the rush of the hunt, the peace of a quiet dawn and the strength of a shared purpose.
