Joint Base Langley-Eustis, located in southeast Virginia, is one of the many iSportsman locations to hold a veteran and youth waterfowl hunt in February. On February 3rd, accompanied youths and military veterans can embark the Virginian landscape in search for the many duck varieties known to be in the area.
Youth hunts are a great opportunity to introduce the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts to the sport and provide a controlled environment to cover the basics of duck hunting, gun safety, and outdoor knowledge. Many other iSportsman managed locations will also be hosting youth and veteran waterfowl hunts in the coming weeks, including Fort Liberty and Fort Campbell.
While youth and veteran waterfowl hunts fall near the end of waterfowl season in most areas across the east coast, they also mark the beginning of spring turkey hunts opening soon. For outdoor oriented families looking to make spring turkey an accompanied event, youth waterfowl hunt days are a great way for the kids to get their feet wet—so to speak.
Visit the Joint Base Langley-Eustis iSportsman portal for more information on their February 3rd youth and veteran waterfowl hunt event. Kid-centric hunts are one of the most important cornerstones of R3 initiatives, so take advantage of the mild Virginian winter if you can and hit the riverbanks early this February 3rd.
