The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC), Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation, and Historic Cane Hill are hosting an exciting nationwide art competition for an Arkansas stamp, blending creative expression with conservation efforts. The winning artwork will feature on the 2025 Arkansas Northern Bobwhite Conservation Stamp and Eastern Wild Turkey Conservation Stamp, with entries due by January 25, 2025.
Since their launch, these voluntary stamps have funded 54 projects on public land across Arkansas, raising over $2.2 million for habitat restoration benefiting northern bobwhite quail, and eastern wild turkeys.
The stamps are more than collector’s items: they drive meaningful conservation efforts. Proceeds from these stamps directly contribute to rehabilitating upland habitats, and these efforts enhance biodiversity and support Arkansas’ reputation as “The Natural State.”
Artists across the U.S. (18 years or older) are encouraged to submit their best work depicting these species in traditional Arkansas habitats. A panel of wildlife and art experts will evaluate entries based on artistic quality and species accuracy. Full submission details for the Arkansas stamp competition are available at Historic Cane Hill.
Winners will be celebrated at the Historic Cane Hill Gallery during a public exhibition from March 15 to April 26, 2025. The grand unveiling on March 25, 2025, will announce the first-place winners, who will each receive $2,500, while second and third-place artists earn $500 and $250, respectively.
If you’ve got a passion for the outdoors and a flair for art, this competition is your chance to leave a lasting mark on conservation while gaining national recognition.
