The Trijicon SRO2 is a high-performance reflex sight built for speed, precision, and reliability in any shooting situation. Designed with the same rugged dependability as the legendary RMR, it delivers a wide field of view, fast target acquisition and repeatable accuracy shot after shot.

Performance in the Field

I put the SRO2 to the test on a Krieghoff .470 Nitro Express while hunting Cape buffalo in South Africa. The sight excelled in one of the most demanding hunting situations imaginable. The red dot made it easy to track my target, even as the bull moved through heavy brush. The bright, crisp 2.5 MOA dot was easy to acquire and remained clear under recoil, making accurate shot placement effortless.

The SRO2’s slim housing allowed me to shoot with both eyes open, maintaining full awareness of my surroundings. This is essential when hunting dangerous game, where multiple animals may be close by. The optic’s wide window made it easy to follow movement and stay focused on the target. When the rifle recoiled, the red dot quickly returned to the point of aim, which proved how well the sight handles even extreme recoil.

Precision and Accuracy

The SRO2 features a parallax-free design, enabling you to shoot with confidence at any distance. The 2.5 MOA red dot is well-defined and sharp, ideal for both close- and mid-range shots. Accuracy remained consistent through repeated firing, and the elevation and windage adjustments were easy to fine-tune. Two quick shots were all it took to get the sight zeroed at 50 yards, and the third confirmed perfect alignment.

Built to Last

The SRO2 is forged from 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, which provides impressive strength without unnecessary weight. The housing looks sleek but is engineered to protect the lens and internal electronics from hard use and heavy recoil. It is built to perform in the harshest environments, whether in the field or on the range.

Battery life is outstanding. A single CR2032 lithium battery powers the LED for over three years of continuous use at normal temperatures. The sight is lightweight at only 1.6 ounces and compact enough to fit pistols, revolvers, and rifles using Trijicon’s RMR mounting system.

Advanced Optic Features

The SRO2 features automatic and manual brightness controls, along with eight adjustable illumination settings. Two of these are night-vision compatible, and one is a super-bright mode for intense daylight. The “Lock-In” mode keeps your chosen brightness fixed, while “Lock-Out” activates automatic adjustment for daily carry or hunting use. The front lens is exceptionally clear, producing a bright, crisp image in all lighting conditions.

Versatility and Ease of Use

The SRO2 mounts easily to most firearms using available adapter kits. It is beneficial for shooters who prefer quick target acquisition, such as those involved in dangerous game hunting, 3-Gun competition or anyone dealing with reduced eyesight. The red dot naturally draws the eye to the target, making it easier to shoot accurately with both eyes open.

The Trijicon SRO2 combines clarity, strength and accuracy in one compact package. It delivers dependable performance for hunters, competitive shooters and anyone who demands reliability in high-pressure situations. The wide field of view, quick dot acquisition and rugged construction make it one of the most versatile reflex sights available today.
